With a lifetime of experience on the water, Alex started sailing the Queensland coast with his dad at age four. Since then, he's sailed over 45,000 nautical miles, crossing oceans both with crew and solo, from Europe and Africa to the most remote corners of the South Pacific.

Beyond his sailing expertise, he's a skilled shipwright with nearly a decade of marine carpentry experience and deep knowledge of mechanical and electrical yacht systems. He's worked as a senior shipwright at leading facilities like the Noakes Group in Sydney Harbour where he worked on boats of all kinds: from  sailing dinghies and heritage wooden boats to high-performance "Sydney to Hobart" racing yachts, ferries and maritime power boats.
