The boatTrim is a 50ft blue-water yacht built for long voyages, comfort and safety at sea.
Trim is a Del Rey 50, designed by William Crealock and built in California in 1980. Only a handful of this model were ever built. Restored by us between 2018–2022, Trim balances classic lines with a bright, open interior and all-new systems.
Built for life at sea Trim can comfortably sleep 6-8 people (including crew) with two dinghies, two heads, two hot water showers (inside and outside), house-like electric galley and plenty of leisure area on the deck.
CabinsWe only offer bunks for 2-4 guests for maximum comfort
Depending on the number of guests we offer different sleeping arrangements. Each cabin is custom fitted out with quality materials, reading lights, fans and deck hatches.
Single couple: V-berth bunk at the front and a private ensuite with a toilet and vanity
Two couples: Main bunk room with 4 single bunks and a shared bathroom with shower
Main bunk room (two couple cabin) with all natural linen, lee-cloths and medium-firm foam mattresses.
V-berth (single couple cabin) with all natural linen, towels and latex mattress.
Life aboard Trim
The crew
Alex Gray
SkipperAlex spent a lifetime on the water, starting with sailing the North Queensland coast with his Dad from the age of four. Since then, he has sailed over 45,000 nautical miles, crossing oceans both with crew and solo, from Europe and Africa to the most remote corners of the South Pacific. The safety of the vessel and crew is always at the forefront of his mind.
In addition to being a skilled sailor, Alex is an experienced shipwright with nearly a decade of expertise in marine carpentry, mechanical and electrical yacht systems.
Agata Gray
First mateAn architect turned live-aboard sailor and a remote-working designer. Before meeting Alex, Agata had no prior sailing experience. Her first overnight sail was an Atlantic Ocean crossing aboard Trim. She learned everything the hands-on way: working hand in hand with Alex, redesigning Trim’s interior, living aboard, and working remotely from her laptop at sea. She speaks fluent Polish and English as well as a bit of Spanish.
A few words from past crew.

" Alex stands out as one of the most well prepared and experienced."
I have crewed with Alex through the Whitsundays, he is extremely capable! I have owned my own yacht and sailed with many people since - but Alex stands out as one of the most well prepared and experienced. I would absolutely trust him to skipper a yacht anywhere.
– Kahlee Andrews (Managing Director at Devote Digital, ex-Adreno)

"I would not hesitate to join Alex and Agata on another adventure!"
"I have sailed offshore with them in both Australia and Europe and could not recommend their skills and knowledge more highly. I would not hesitate to join them on another adventure!"
